AHA Legacy Training in South Carolina

Summerville Pilates is proud to host the Anita Horry Academy (AHA) Legacy Training program, bringing world-class Pilates teacher education to the Lowcountry. This comprehensive certification program prepares you to teach Pilates with confidence, depth, and artistry.

Our training program combines classical Pilates principles with modern exercise science, giving you the knowledge and hands-on experience to guide clients of all levels safely and effectively. Graduate ready to teach mat, reformer, and full apparatus work.

Training Curriculum

Our comprehensive program covers all major Pilates apparatus and essential anatomy, preparing you for a successful teaching career.

Mat Pilates

Master the foundational mat repertoire from beginner through advanced. Learn cueing, modifications, and progressions for all client levels.

Who Can Apply

Requirements & Prerequisites

The AHA Legacy Training program is designed for dedicated individuals who are passionate about Pilates and committed to a career in teaching. Here is what you need to get started.

Pilates Practice Experience

Minimum of 6 months of consistent Pilates practice, with familiarity across mat and at least one apparatus.

Physical Fitness

Ability to demonstrate and perform Pilates exercises at an intermediate level. Prior movement or fitness background is a plus.

CPR/First Aid Certification

Current CPR and First Aid certification required prior to beginning supervised teaching hours.

Commitment to Learning

Willingness to complete all required observation hours, practice teaching sessions, and self-study assignments throughout the program.
